Dr. Ming-Shaung Ju

Ming-Shaung Ju received the B.Sc. degree, in
1978, and the M.Sc. degree, in 1982, in Mechanical Engineering from National
Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, Republic of China, and the Ph.D. degree, in
1986, in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University,
Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. In 1987 he joined the faculty of Mechanical
Engineering Department at NCKU where he was an associate Professor and a
Professor since 1993. Dr. Ju has worked in
biomechanics, biocybernetics, mechatronics
and microelectromechanical System for biomedical
engineering applications. He has served many scientific committee boards
in Taiwan, namely, the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, the Chinese
Society of Biomedical Engineering and the Taiwanese Society of Biomechanics. He
was the president of Taiwanese Society of Biomechanics in 2005-2007. He is also
a member of the Man-Machine System Committee of the International Federation
for the Theory of Machines and Mechanisms.

Chou-Ching K. Lin received a
Bachelor degree of Medicine from National Yang-Ming University, Taipei, Taiwan
in 1988 and an MSc and PhD in biomedical engineering
from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, USA in 1994 and 1997,
respectively. He, passing Taiwan Neurology and Gerontology Boards in 1999 and
2003, is currently a clinical assistant professor in Department of Neurology,
Medical Center, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. His areas of
interest include functional electrical stimulation, neurorehabilitation,
neural electrophysiology and nerve regeneration.
